The Art and Science of Finance

The Wealth Conservatory's mission on behalf of its members is to pursue academic research into new and better methods for proactively protecting, preserving, and enhancing their lifestyles, legacies, and financial security. Our primary focus is to learn and apply new and better ways to mitigate the many risks that threaten our members' personal wealth – risks that include outright loss due to lawsuits, over-zealous creditors, divorce, and insurable hazards; as well as erosion of wealth over time through inflation, uncompensated expense, and excessive taxation. Secondarily, we explore and adopt improved methods for enhancing our members’ personal lifestyles through the optimization of their available resources. In other words, while we seek to enhance our members' wealth, we first take measures designed to protect it.

The Conservatory is independent of any financial affiliation with banking, brokerage, insurance, or other for-profit organizations; and receives its funding solely through service and retainer dues contributed directly by its membership. This facilitates the execution of our mission with utmost objectivity and good faith. Members never have to worry about hidden commissions, finder’s fees, kickbacks, or the like. And, because members' investment securities are custodied not by us, but by independent third-parties (brokerage firms, banks, trust companies, pension plans, etc.) unaffiliated with us, the resulting "cross-check" as to the accuracy of brokerage and advisory reports creates an important layer of added protection. As fiduciaries, we are charged with placing the interests of our members above those of all others - including ourselves. Additionally, member dues are assessed on a basis that is structured to directly link the Conservatory’s financial success to the financial success of its membership.

The Conservatory has assembled a staff with over forty years of combined financial experience, and which collectively exemplifies competence through an impressive array of credentials. These include Certified Financial Planner practitioners (CFP©), a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Master in Business Administration (MBA), a Master in Personal Financial Planning (MS), an Accredited Investment Fiduciary designee (AIF©), and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFATM).

Members enjoy the benefit of a team of advisors who collaborate with one another; with adjunct professionals in legal, tax, insurance, trust, college funding, credit, and real estate specialties; with academically oriented firms like Dimensional Fund Advisors – which boasts internationally recognized leaders like Professors Kenneth French of the Tuck School at Dartmouth College and Eugene Fama of the University of Chicago; and with fellow members of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the Garrett Planning Network (GPN), the Financial Planning Association (FPA), and other not-for-profit institutions with which members of our staff are individually associated.

At the Conservatory we have harnessed the latest technology to create a virtual conference room in which our members and our colleagues gather from all around the country to design optimal strategies and solutions for the protection and enhancement of each member’s individual wealth. Members may attend these meetings either by visiting one of our offices, or from the comfort of their own home or office using their personal computer and an online conferencing service to which we subscribe. Either way, a team of advisors and specialists from multiple offices around the country can be assembled via internet conferencing.

Freed from the constraint of having to gather everyone into a single physical office building, the Conservatory is able to selectively assemble teams of highly specialized professionals across dozens of narrow disciplines from all over the country; and to screen for both high quality and competitive pricing.

Whether enrolled in the comprehensive Board of Directors© program, or in the more narrowly-focused Investment Portfolio Management or Customized Planning Project programs, members enjoy the benefits of collaboration among multiple professionals within an independent, objective, fiduciary, and academically oriented environment; while being personally served by their own dedicated Senior Advisor.

You can learn more about The Wealth Conservatory by attending lectures posted throughout this virtual campus. Additionally, our campus library contains an abundance of lectures and educational material on a variety of topics associated with personal wealth management -- and is growing as new content is added continuously. For assistance finding the information you need, please e-mail our librarian at info@WealthConservatory.com.
